Terry is a highly experienced former senior Kent Police leader with more than 30 years’ experience in investigations, governance, safeguarding and operational leadership across the public, private and education sectors.
As a nationally accredited specialist Terry brings years of experience conducting and overseeing complex investigations, evaluating evidence, interviewing witnesses, preparing defensible reports and advising senior leaders on difficult and sensitive matters. Terry specialises in independent workplace investigations, employment matters, governance assurance, safeguarding reviews, organisational risk and operational improvement.
Proficient in independent workplace, HR and employee relations investigations, Terry has expert knowledge in conducting thorough and impartial enquiries, professional standards investigations, and complex evidence reviews and analysis. Terry expertise includes producing clear, comprehensive investigation reports, carrying out sensitive and effective witness interviews, and working collaboratively across multiple agencies and stakeholders.
Additionally, Terry provides executive advisory support, helping senior leaders navigate complex workplace issues, manage risk, and make informed decisions based on robust investigative findings. His approach combines investigative rigour with practical, proportionate recommendations that enable clients to make fair, evidence-based decisions.
Professionally qualified to master’s level in Human Resource Management, Terry is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD), a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) and a Chartered Manager (CMgr) as well as serving as Chair of Governors at a School and as Board Safeguarding Champion for Kent County Football Association.
